Commercial Seed Production

Some of our Quality Seeds Supplied to FAOSSSouth Farmers Company Limited realized that good farming starts with quality seeds, and due to lack of quality and certified seeds in the country the company decided to embark on seed production in our Nucleus Farm and few farmers from our existing out-grower. We have established outlets in Kajo-Keji and Juba well positioned close to the farmers to ensure that farmers have quality and certified inputs to enable them succeed in farming as a business. We offer quality and more accessible and affordable inputs to smallholder farmers. We have track record in supplying quality agricultural inputs and tools to number of clients in the NGO community in South Sudan including FAO and etc.

Seed Processing

Our seeds go through vigorous seed processing methods which include grading, hand sorting, chemical dressing before they are packed at our processing facility.  The process is well supervised to ensure highest quality of the seeds. 

Seed Marketing

With its head office in Juba, South Sudan, the company has its farm in Kajo Keji county 15 kilometers to the border with Uganda.  We have built up a vast marketing and distribution network (agro dealer shops) in Kajo Keji county, Juba and other towns in South Sudan.  We also supply quality seeds to the NGO community in South Sudan such as FAO, World Vision, GOAL South Sudan and etc.

This is one of our warehouses for the seedsand fertilizer storage.

Maturity: 100-120 days
Yield 3.2-4.8 Tons/HA and they are Tolerant to low nitrogen soil, they can be planted in all areas except in highlands, resistant to drought and diseases.
 RICE The following rice performs well at altitudes between 0 and 1700m above sea level.
 NERICA 1 Maturity is between 100-115 days and yield 4.5/ HA, this variety of rice is aromatic and medium tolerance to blast, it has long grain
  NERICA 4 Maturity is between 100-130 days and yield 5 tons/Ha, medium tolerance to blast and lodging.
  NERICA 10  Has early maturity of 90-105 days with high yield of 5To/Ha. It is tolerant to blast and moderate tolerant to lodging.
  NERICA 11  Maturity period is 130 days with yield of 7tons/Ha, has long grains and tolerance to blast and lodging
 SORGHUM These varieties perform well at altitudes between 0 and 2300 m above sea level.Their maturity is 3-4 months and average yield per HA/3tons.
 SERENA It is a brown see variety, it has long stem and good root system, it is fairly tolerant to striga, rust, leaf blight and grey leaf spot, it perform well in the moist mid altitude region and semi-arid lowland. MACIAis brown seeded variety, it has long stem and good root system, it is fairly tolerant to striga, rust, leaf blight and grey leaf spot.
 SESO I,II,III This variety is brown and white seeded, it has long stem and good root system and fairly tolerant to striga, rust, leaf blight and grey leaf spot. It perform well in mid altitude region and the semi-arid lowland, yield per Ha is 2.5tons.
 BEANS These varieties of Beans we produce perform well at altitudes between 0 and 2300 m above sea level
 K132 Has average yield of 4t/Ha with maturity period of 80-85 days. It has large red motted sees
  K131 Has an average yield of 3.5-4 tons/Ha with maturity period of 70-90 days, it has better yield with high diseases tolerant.
  KIPEPEO  Has average yield of 3.5-4tons/Ha with maturity period of 85-95 days. It requires medium rainfall areas only, resistant to angular leaf spot and anthracnose but
susceptible to BCMV and rust.
  LYAMUNGA 85  Has an average yield of 2.5-3tons/Ha with maturity period of 85-90days. It requires medium rainfall area only and resistant to angular leaf spot and anthracnose but susceptible to BCMV and rust.
  GREEN GRAMN26  This variety is developed for dry land and marginal areas, with early maturity,intolerant to water logging. It matures in 90-110 days, standard peas for local and export markets, vigorous growing peas.
  PEAS GREEN FEAST  Has a maturity of 90-110 days, grown in a cool to warm climate, it is a stand peas for local and export markets, it is a vigorous growing peas and the stem is strong and heavy yielder.

 NABE 4 The average yield is 3-5tons/Ha with a maturity period of 80-85 days. It has large red mottled seed, resistant to major bean diseases, tolerant to drought and requires medium altitude

 NABE17 Has an average yield of 4-5tons/Ha with an average maturity period of 58-78 days,it has oval seed shape with red mottled, tolerant to anthracnose, BCMV,ALS, and other diseases.
 NABE18 Has an average yield of 4-5ton/Ha with maturity period of 63-78days. It has purple mottled and resistant to anthracnose, BCMV, ALS and rot diseases.
 NABE19  Has an average yield of 4-5tons/Ha with a maturity period of 61-70 day, red mottled and resistant to anthracnose, BCMV, ALS, and tolerant to most of other diseases.
 NABE 20-22  Has an average yield of 2.2-4tons/Ha with maturity period of 58-70 days. However It has different colours ranging from pink with red tan mottled for NABE 20 to Dirty yellow with red tan for NABE 21 and purple with white mottles for NABE 22, all are tolerant to anthracnose, BCMV, ALS and etc
 NABE 23 Has an average yield of 4-5tons/Ha, with maturity of 64-75 days. It has pink red tan speckles colour, it is tolerant to anthracnose, BCMV, ALS, root rots and most other diseases.

 TOMATO HEINZ Has 75-80 maturity days with over 97,000kgs average yield per acre. It is Hybrid tomato suitable for both open field and greenhouse. It is tolerant to bacterial wilt disease and leaf curl virus.
 RIO GRANDE Has a maturity of 75-80 days with an average yield of 18,000kg per acre, a very popular tomato with rich deep red and sweet tasting fruits, high yielding variety.
 CAL J VF h Has a maturity of 75-85 days with an average yield of 12,000kgs per acre,ideal climate is warm, sweet tasting with deep red fruits.
 WATERMELON SUGAR BABY Has maturity of 91 days with a preferred warm type of climate; their productivity is largely determined by the length of the growing season.
CRIMSON SWEET Has to be planted 36-60 inches apart, with maturity period ranging between 80-85 days with warm climate preferred.
ROCKMELON  Has to be planted 4-6 feets apart with a maturity period of 80-110 days,ideal type of climate is warm.

 SPRING ONION GREEN BUNCHING  Has maturity period of 85-90 days in a cool and warm climate. It is mostly grown for its green slender sweet tasting leaves for salad.

CABBAGE COPENHAGEN Has maturity of 80-85days with an average head weight of 4kgs, grows well in cool to warm climate, has blue green round cabbage with waxy leaves, tolerant to blank rot disease and diamond back.
 GLORIA F1 Matures in 75 days with an average head weight of 5kgs, ideal to be grown in cool climate, fast growing hybrid cabbage, very uniform growth and sweet taste
 CABBAGE BARAKA F1 Maturity days are 80, and average head weight is 5kg, ideal climate is cool, tolerant to black rot and downy mildew, it keeps long in the field with uniform maturity.
 RIANA F1 It has 90days maturity with an average head weight of 4kg, it prefer cool climate, it has blue green hybrid cabbage, it is tolerant to black rot. It grows well in both rain-fed and irrigated fields..
 SERENA F1 Has a maturity of 75days with an average head weight of 3.5-4kgs, it should be grown in cool to warm type of climate. It is a hybrid cabbage with blue green leaves. Tolerant to black rot and cabbage yellow diseases.
 CABBAGE-RED DRUMHEAD Has maturity of 80 days with an average head weight of 2.5-4.5kgs, ideal climate is cool, it has intense dark red colour throughout, suitable for salad and pickling.
 COLLARD GEORGIA (SUKUMA WIKI) Has 45 maturity days with an ideal climate of cool to warm. It has long harvesting period easy to grow.
  COLLARD SIMLAW  Has maturity of 45 days, with prefer cool to warm climate.
  PEPPER  
  HOT PEPPER FRESNO Matures in 75-85 days, it is grown in warm climate, it offers continues harvest and suitable for fresh market and export market.
  HOT PEPPER ANAHELM Has a maturity period of 75-85 days with preferred growing climate of warm. It offers continues harvest and suitable for fresh market and export.
  SWEET PEPPER YELLOW Has a maturity of 75-85 days planted in a preferred warm climate. It offers continues harvest.
  HOT PEPPER LONG RED CAYENNE Has maturity period of 75-85 days planted in a warm climate, this variety offers prolific yield for a very long harvesting period.
 SWEET PEPPER CALIFORNIA WONDER Has a maturity of 75 days in a warm type of climate; it has sweet capsicum scent with a long harvesting period
CARROTS  
CARROTS NANTES Matures in 120 days being grown in cool climate; it is an ideal carrot for all seasons with sweet tasting and keeps fresh longer.
 JUTE MALLOW It matures in 30 days and its ideal climate is cool-warm. It is highly nutritious vegetable, easy to grow and fast maturity.
 SPINACH AMARANTHUS The maturity is 30days in a warm climate, it has medicinal and nutritional quality, it require minimal care, grow well in rich soils, it has high yielding characteristics.
